Jennifer Maestre is a South African Artist who does create this amazing skulptures with the use of pencils or nails. Among other things she is inspired by animals and plants, which you can perfectly see in work. To make the pencil sculptures, she takes hundreds of pencils, cuts them into 1-inch sections, drills a hole in each section (to turn them into beads), sharpens them all and sews them together.
