Found this awesome DIY via Design*Sponge. Susan of doggie eyes used images she printed from the web to create her own individual wallpaper. She also used aerosol starch so you can remove it without any problems. Great for those who rent a place and are not allowed to paint their walls! by us

5 minutes ago I had no idead who Florence + the Machine were, but listen to songs like Drumming I'm totally impressed by their serious talent. I think Florence Welch's voice is amazing and very haunting. And being a redhead myself I'm always partial to a redhair singer! Another thing I love about this Band is their choice of naming their songs, e.g. Kiss with a fist or My Boy builds coffins. Great, right? Maybe it has to do with the fact that Florence Welch writes, according to the band's homepage, "her best songs when she’s drunk or has a hangover". You go, girl! Their debut album Lungs is out now. by us

Welcome to Gublerland

I'm a Fan of Matthew Gray Gubler quite some time now. Some of you might know him from the TV-Series Criminal Minds. I think what a lot of people do not know is that he is also a filmmaker, he draws and does Photography and all sort of other stuff. His homepage which he calls Gublerland, is just great and very entertaining. Gubler has a very unique style which I think is awesome. He might not be everyone's cup of tea but I like it, especially his drawings and his Gubler Pals. us

Brasilian artist Henrique Oliveira reuses old things, mostly wood, and turns them into these new interestingly shaped sculptures. My personal favourite is his 2008-work Cloud. It's a cloud build of mattresses and pillows which were collected after the Katrina's disaster in New Orleans, United States. Beautiful! us

Lodown DTP Issue 001

Lodown Magazine went old school with their first DTP Issue. They didn't layout it entirely on the computer, but instead used old phototype methods. The format (it's about 14' x 11' inches) is not the most easy one to handle but I do appreciate it a lot. In this Issue it's all about art. It's "a picture book of obscurity" to quote Thomas Mareki, Publisher of Lodown Magazine. I just can say that I really enjoyed it! us
